Cultured Stone

The first type of stone that we’ll tell you about is cultured stone. This is man-made stone formed with concrete that is poured into a mold and colored to replicate real stone. The stone industry is trying to switch over to using cultured stone as a go-to choice for home cladding, interior designs and fireplace surrounds. Natural Stone

This type of stone sounds exactly like what it is: natural stone that’s quarried from the earth. Nothing is added or removed from this precious stone. What’s great about natural stone is its longevity, its structural soundness and the overall natural look that’s unbeatable. However, as you might imagine, natural stone is much more expensive than its cultured stone counterpart. And since this stone comes straight from the earth, it’s hard to predict the size of each stone making it more difficult to carry, cut and hang.
